I try not to go on tangents on this blog about personal views… However, this is a MAJOR exception. America is hurting right now and it’s time we all look in the mirror and accept this as our “own faults” and decide to do something about it.
Our economy is largely what it is now due to our desire to buy cheap (or luxury) products from overseas, whether it be cars, furniture, clothing, etc. Sure, a lot of economists and politicians will tell you otherwise, but this is the root of our current situation.
America needs high paying jobs that manufacturing produces in order to thrive and we need to keep our hard-earned dollars working here at home; not funding new building projects in China, the Middle East, etc. It’s time we took care of our own.
With the above said, here’s a sample of furniture manufacturers that produce Made in the USA Furniture. If you’re in the market for new furniture consider these companies, or others who manufacturer in the USA and employ our neighbors, friends and families.
Keep in mind that there are many more American furniture manufacturers to choose from. However, their numbers are decreasing due to countries such as China dumping huge amounts of cheap furniture into our ports everyday. Also, beware when shopping that even a lot of big name brands now manufacture overseas. Make sure you see that an item is truly Made in the USA in WRITING before you buy.
