Furniture Return & Delivery Policies

When making a furniture purchase make sure you clearly understand the stores furniture return and refund policy. Never assume they even have one - some furniture stores don't. In many cases, it is reasonable for there not being a return or refund policy, particularly on highly discounted or as-is furniture purchases. If in doubt, ASK!

Furniture Delivery Service

Even if the furniture store you're buying from doesn't offer free furniture delivery it doesn't hurt to ask for it. However, many dealers don't build delivery into their pricing and they must charge you for it to cover their costs. Contrary to popular belief, there's truly no such thing as a “free furniture delivery service” - either you're going to pay for it separately or it's going to be built into the prices of the furniture. When your furniture is delivered inspect it for any damage or defects and make sure the furniture delivery person is informed of any problems and that they write the information down on their delivery sheet. If you notice a problem after the drivers have left, contact the store manager immediately.
