DRESSER & MIRROR SHOPPING TIPS
When shopping for a dresser and mirror set consider the style and finishes of other items in the room it's going to be in. You want the dresser to have a stable frame and drawers that open easily and smoothly. As for the outside materials, veneers and soft woods are generally alright since they don't normally take hard use. However, if you foresee hard exterior use as an issue, then a hardwood such as solid oak may be a better option. As for the dresser mirror, consider how it will be used. If you're going to use the mirror for checking your hair and makeup, you may want to think about getting a tri-fold (or tri-view) mirror. Regardless of the mirror style you choose you want it to fit comfortably on the dresser as far as its scale, and you want to make sure the glass is of a decent quality. As a general rule, beveled mirrors use a better quality glass. Also, check the inside drawer sizes of the dresser to make sure that there's plenty of room for comfortably storing your clothes.
