Basic measurements you should have before you begin shopping are as follows: 1. The maximum seat cushion width at the front of the chair. 2. Outside arm to outside arm, which means the widest width to the curve of the arm, not its top. 3. Maximum body width, which is measured from the outside edge of the right arm, around the back of the chair to the outside edge of the left arm. 4. Contour length, which is measured from the base of the seat cushion, going over the top of the chairs back and down to the floor. Keep in mind these are only basic measurement suggestions.
